Leather is a bit too soft to offer any kind of protection. Minimal protection. It looks good, although a bit more distressed and thicker would have been better. Just a piece of clothing over a shirt if anything. It protects your shirt from bugs and looks good I guess, that's about it. 3.5 - 4 stars.

So I really like this particular vest and i am not much of a vest guy. Anyways, I returned it as it fit great except when i was riding and it seemed to bunch up a lot in the chest are and I did not like how it looked at all when riding. It is a nice soft leather and a great vest. Just did not fit well when riding
