This is a very heavy bag, even when empty. Did not expect it to be that heavy. The bag is very well built and sturdy, however as it says it is water resistant not water proof. I do like that the smaller bags on the outside can be removed and used independently or placed inside the other bags. When the three smaller bags are zipped on, extra pockets are created for stashing stuff when on the road. Overall, it is a nice bag - just heavy for a female rider.
