I love the boots in theory! But I'm not sure what the issue is with the fit. Almost like the calf is too tight in some places and not enough in other to keep the upper from sliding down. Like the calf of the boot doesn't stay all the way up and slides down into whatever foot box thing it is that is stiff around the ankle. I feel like that brace gets shoved into my ankle while I'm walking. I tried hiking the top part back up my calf and it seemed to help a little. I haven't worn them again yet. I know the boots are real leather so maybe as they break in, they will be better, but for now, I'm not crazy about the way the fit is on the upper and how it digs that lower hard piece into my ankle. I can't wear thick socks to help compensate because my calves are thick and there just isn't room for thick cushy socks to cushion and protect my ankle. I wouldn't say these are great for women with bigger calves.

These are ok. they're cute. But they slouch down around the ankle and rub where the zipper is. I feel like they shield be reinforced there to avoid rubbing also not water proof i steepled in a little puddle and wet feet.

I love the looks and fit. The boots are truly to slide, I wear a 8.5.
