Do they take the chill off? YES
Why only a 3 star? Because they are very bulky and not very comfortable when sitting on the bike/motorcycle for hours going down the highway. I'd really like to see some time of under garment so you can also wear your chaps. Yes, they make heated chaps but again $$$.
